ARTICLE 1 – OBJECT
Made in surveys, a private limited company with a capital of 10,000 pounds, based at United House, North Road, London N7 9DP and registered under number 6550725 organises participation in surveys through the website https://www.surveyfriends.co.uk/. Participation is free and no purchase is required.
ARTICLE 2 – MEMBERSHIP CONDITIONS
By connecting to https://www.surveyfriends.co.uk/, you undertake to respect these general conditions set by Made in surveys, which it is free to modify at any time. You are therefore advised to refer regularly to the latest version, which is available on the website at all times.
Without exception, joining the service requires prior acceptance of these general conditions, which define the terms under which you benefit from the service.
Membership and active participation in our website are subject to these general conditions. You acknowledge that you have read them and accept them without reservation.
Participation in SurveyFriends is free and is offered solely to people legally empowered to enter into a contract. Associates and partners of Made in surveys, associates of companies associated with Made in surveys, and associates and partners of the company hosting the SurveyFriends website are excluded.
Provided these conditions are met, several people from the same household may take part in the SurveyFriends panel. Membership is subject to receipt of the full registration questionnaire completed online by the participant.
The sincerity and completeness of responses are checked in all cases. Any confirmed or suspected fraud may lead to automatic termination of membership.
ARTICLE 3 – ENTRY INTO FORCE OF MEMBERSHIP
The contract comes into force when both of the following conditions have been fulfilled:
1. Receipt of this contract and the participant’s acceptance via the Internet by the department coordinating the SurveyFriends panel.
2. Receipt and validation by SurveyFriends of the full recruitment questionnaire completed by the participant.
From that date, unless terminated early, registration is for an indefinite period.
ARTICLE 4 – YOUR PARTICIPANT ACCOUNT
When signing up, the participant chooses a username and password. These are strictly personal and non-transferable. The participant alone is responsible for keeping them secret. An interface on the SurveyFriends panel website allows the participant to change the password and other details freely.
If the participant forgets the password, an email procedure allows them to regain access. This procedure uses the username and the email address supplied during registration, or the new address supplied following an update.
ARTICLE 5 – YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
During registration, the participant must provide a permanent email address at which they can be contacted. An interface on the SurveyFriends community website allows this address to be changed freely.
SurveyFriends uses the most recently entered address to contact the participant, invite them to questionnaires if they have agreed to take part in the surveys programme, and notify them of service updates.
The participant alone is responsible for updating this address. SurveyFriends cannot be held liable for questionnaires not being delivered because an address is missing or incorrect.
Forgetting to update an email address, or any transmission fault related to an inadequate address, cannot justify repeated failure to answer online questionnaires sent to the participant.
ARTICLE 6 – THE PARTICIPANT’S COMMITMENTS
The participant undertakes to answer polls, questionnaires, opinion surveys and tests submitted by SurveyFriends sincerely and objectively.
The participant warrants that they will register only once. Multiple registrations on the SurveyFriends panel or website breach these membership conditions and will lead to termination.
If the participant has agreed to take part in online surveys, they are notified of available questionnaires, polls, surveys and tests by email or when connecting to the website. No other notification method is used. Responses must be submitted by each survey’s deadline; later responses are disregarded. In some cases, the deadline may be only a few days. The closing date is stated in the invitation email.
The participant undertakes to update their personal profile information, including age, marital status, occupation and income, using the website interface, and to report major changes such as marriage, career changes or the birth of a child. Updates are compulsory and SurveyFriends may check that they have been made. This information is used in accordance with applicable legislation to send as many relevant targeted studies as possible.
Surveys may disclose confidential information, including media content, unique techniques, sketches, drawings or new products. To protect the integrity and confidentiality of clients’ research, members must not disclose information contained in surveys, or copy or distribute their graphics or other content.
Legal action may be taken if stolen material is traced back to a participant.
ARTICLE 7 – CONTENT: RESPECT FOR PERSONAL AND PROPERTY RIGHTS
The participant must comply with applicable laws when using the forum and posting opinions on the SurveyFriends website. In particular, they must not distribute messages or information, whatever their format or nature, that fall into any of the following categories:
Content contrary to public order; defamatory, abusive, racist or xenophobic content; or content harming another person’s honour or reputation.
Content inciting discrimination or hatred against a person or group because of their origins or membership or non-membership of an ethnic group, nation, race or religion; or threats against a person or group.
Pornographic or paedophilic content. Websites linking directly or indirectly to such content may be excluded without warning.
Content inciting an offence, crime or act of terrorism, glorifying war crimes or crimes against humanity, or inciting suicide.
Content enabling third parties to obtain pirated software, software serial numbers, tools for hacking IT or telecommunications systems, viruses, logic bombs, or any software or tools infringing others’ rights or the security of people or property.
Content violating the privacy of correspondence.
ARTICLE 8 – EMAIL
The participant must not collect email addresses of other members or third parties for mail bombing, flaming, spamming or any operation intended to disrupt the normal operation of their email.
The participant must not encourage visits to websites that fail to comply with current legislation, particularly the rights mentioned above.
ARTICLE 9 – PAYMENT COMMITMENTS
Only members resident in the United Kingdom will be invited to take part in our surveys. Gifts and vouchers are therefore only available to residents of the United Kingdom.
In return for sincere, active participation in questionnaires, surveys and tests, the participant earns non-transferable points. These points can be redeemed for rewards in the gift shop, according to the number of points required for each reward.
The monthly prize draw uses stars, which have a separate balance from reward points. Entry requires 100 stars, deducted from the balance when the participant confirms their entry into the current month’s draw.
Winners are notified by email. They undertake to confirm their postal address and send a photograph by email or post. They agree to publication of the photograph by Made in surveys on the SurveyFriends website or in an emailing.
Donation conditions: points may be converted into a donation to a humanitarian association or NGO. At the closing date, the equivalent sum is sent to the organisation and receipts are displayed on SurveyFriends. SurveyFriends may substitute a reward of equivalent value and change the stated reward amount for survey and research questions. No cash alternative is available for rewards.
ARTICLE 10 – TERMINATION CONDITIONS
SurveyFriends may suspend or terminate this contract at any time, without limiting the provisions of Article 5. Rewards earned are then immediately cancelled, without prejudice to any claim for damages.
SurveyFriends regularly checks the consistency, validity and quality of responses. Inaccurate or inconsistent responses, or response times considered suspiciously short or long, may lead to automatic termination.
SurveyFriends may terminate membership if the participant has not answered a single questionnaire for 12 months, provided they agreed to participate when joining and received invitations during that period. Termination cancels rewards without compensation being due to either party.
Whether a minor or an adult, the participant may terminate this contract by informing the department coordinating the panel, preferably by email to contact@surveyfriends.co.uk. Other methods may be used, but the participant alone assumes responsibility for the consequences of termination notified by letter.
SurveyFriends cannot be held liable for loss of registration or reward data resulting from fraudulent termination carried out by a method other than a registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt.
A termination request sent by letter or email must clearly state “Termination” and include the email address associated with the account so that it can be identified. Never send your password.
Voluntary termination, other than inability to honour the contract for specifically listed reasons, results in cancellation of any unclaimed points in the participant’s account.
ARTICLE 11 – ACCESS TO THE SERVICE
The participant is responsible for providing the computer and telecommunications equipment needed to access the service.
The participant bears all internet connection costs. Access to our website is entirely free.
Given the structure of the Internet, no absolute guarantee of availability or performance can be assumed.
ARTICLE 12 – OWNERSHIP
Made in surveys owns the SurveyFriends trademark.
Any representation or reproduction of all or part of this website or its components, by any means, without express authorisation from Made in surveys is prohibited and constitutes infringement under Article L. 335-2 and subsequent articles of the Intellectual Property Code.
The participant undertakes to respect the property rights of Made in surveys and third parties.
ARTICLE 13 – CHANGES TO THE GENERAL CONDITIONS
Made in surveys may modify these general conditions. SurveyFriends communicates changes to the email address supplied by the participant and cannot be held responsible for non-receipt of notification emails. Reconnecting to the website or services signifies acceptance of the amended conditions.
Using the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new conditions.
The conditions published online on the SurveyFriends website take precedence over any earlier printed version.
ARTICLE 14 – ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These general conditions set out all obligations of the parties.
No general or special conditions in documents sent or presented by either party may be incorporated into this agreement.
Failure by either party to act upon the other party’s breach of an obligation does not constitute a waiver of that obligation for the future.
If a provision is held invalid under a law, regulation or final ruling of a competent court, the remaining provisions retain full force and scope, unless the invalid provision is substantial and its removal would undermine the balance of the contract.
ARTICLE 15 – JURISDICTION
If a dispute cannot be settled amicably, express jurisdiction is assigned to the competent French courts, notwithstanding multiple defendants or the involvement of third parties, including urgent or interim proceedings, whether summary proceedings or proceedings initiated by petition.
